Online hate is all around us nowadays. Facebook, Twitter and even YouTube are filled with racial/ ethic hate.

Our children are more at risk spending more and more time online and are more at risk to online hate more than ever across a multitude of platforms.

Dr. Andre Oboler CEO of the Online Hate Prevention Institute (OHPI) says that governments need to protect in particular Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders online and the removal of section 18C from the discrimination act would indeed open up the floodgates to online hate once again.

Justin Fenwick sat down with Dr. Oboler to talk online hate and what people can do to stop online hate affecting them and the ramifications of the repeal of section 18C.
