Wrongful unpublishing – The Alex Levin Art Page

In his capacity as co-chair of the Online Antisemitism Working Group of the Global Forum to Combat Antisemitism, OHPI’s CEO (Dr Andre Oboler) wrote to Facebook today for clarification about the unpublishing of Alex Levin’s art page. The page appears to have been wrongly removed based on claims it was posting pornographic content. The letter includes 17 pages of the most recent content posted by the page, none of which could be remotely considered pornographic. Most of the content is Jewish religious artwork, which raises the concern that the removal may have been triggered by an antisemitic campaign against the page.

Clarifications have been sought from Facebook about this incident in particular, and about general protections to correct from false positives in the automated system. The letter appears below.
