How to contact us
The best way to make initial contact with us is through our contact form.
You can also message us through our Facebook page, particularly if you want to let us known about problematic online content.
We have alternative contact arrangements for journalists, online platforms, government agencies and organisations working in overlapping areas. Contact us for details.
How to support our work
As a charity our work is funding by donations from the public. Our preferred method is through the PayPal Giving Fund. This avoids fees to you or us so 100% of your donation can be used to support our work. There are also other ways to donate, including via direct bank deposit.
You can also support us by joining our mailing list, liking and following our Facebook page, following us on Twitter and spreading the word about our work.
What is the Online Hate Prevention Institute?
We are a Registered Charity based in Australia. We are on the Australia Government’s Register of Harm Prevention Charity.
We are not part of any other organisations. Our work is overseen by our Board of Directors.
What is the “no platform” policy?
In order to maintain an effective environment on our Facebook page we block trolls, those engaging in hate speech and those who support them. For a more detailed explanation, please see our no platform policy.
Who funds you?
As a charity we are funded through donations, sponsorship, grants and activity income. The mix between different sources of income varies from year to year. The breakdown for the last financial year as well as our audited accounts can be seen at the Australian Charities and Not for Profit Commission.
