Briefings & Guides
OHPI published 84 briefings through our website during the financial year. Each briefing took an in depth look at an item of online hate, such as a particular Facebook page, or examined a question about preventing online hate or explored the issues surrounding a particular type of online hate. Many briefings contained a call to action encouraging readers to report the content being discussed if it remained online. The 84 briefings were shared more than 39,217 times in total. This has a significant impact on OHPI’s reach, the diversity of our coverage, and is a continued improvement over past years. Most of our briefings were also promoted via our newsletter.

In addition to our briefings we have a regularly updated a set of guides to reporting the different sorts of content on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Google+. These have also proved a very useful tool for the public.
