To mark the International Human Rights Day today, the Online Hate Prevention Institute has released an interim report into anti-Muslim hate in social media. The report is evidence based and draws on a sample of over 1100 items reported by the public between September 24 2015 and November 24, 2015. The report is particularly timely with anti-Muslim hate accelerating sharply in 2015 as a result of misplaced fear of ordinary Muslims in response to the actions of specific terrorist groups claiming to act in the name of Islam.
