In his Position Paper “After the Charlie Hebdo Attack: The Line between Freedom of Expression and Hate Speech“, our CEO Dr. Andre Oboler analyzes the tension between two basic freedoms: the freedom of religion and the freedom of expression. He concludes that the apparent conflict of interests can be bridged by a more careful discourse and clarity of definitions. Such an approach, Oboler argues, will both protect the freedom of expression and safeguard the rights of religious minorities.
