In August our CEO, Dr Andre Oboler, visited Cape Town to speak at the G20 Interfaith Forum.

He participated in two panels, one focused on Ethical Issues for Artificial Intelligence and the other on “Positives and Negatives of Modern Communications: Addressing Disinformation and Related Social Tensions“.

While in Cape Town he also delivered a seminal on antisemitism at the University of Cape Town’s Kaplan Centre and met with academics and students.
He also met with the Cape SAJBD (South African Jewish Board of Deputies) to learn more about antisemitism in South Africa, and share OHPI’s work monitoring online antisemitism.

He also presented to both the boys and girls at the Cape Town Torah High Jewish International School. The presentation looked at online antisemitism and how to safely respond when confronted by it.
