Our CEO Andre Oboler discusses antisemitism on Facebook in the wake of Facebook sanctioning antisemitic content by dismissing complaints against clear cases of racist hate speech. Oboler argues that the failure to remove these posts takes the problem from one of an inability to quickly control user generated content, to a problem of institutional antisemitism. Oboler points out a difference in the platforms attitude towards hate directed towards individuals and hate directed at groups, and argues that this distinction is not consistent with the meaning of hate speech.
