OHPI 2024 Review – Fourth quarter

During the fourth quarter of 2024 OHPI published 10 Briefings and 2 newsletters. OHPI was also mentioned in 4 media articles.

In October, on the anniversary of Hamas’ terrorist attack against Israel, OHPI published an update to antisemitism statistics since the March report. These details are found in both the newsletter and briefing published 7 October 2024.

In the fourth quarter of 2024 OHPI published 5 briefings on antisemitism, 3 briefings on sexism (2 misogyny, 1 misandry), 1 briefing on anti-Muslim hate, and 1 briefing on white supremacy.

Also during the first half of the quarter the basic training program was finalised and the first session delivered in mid November to attendees of the MARSS youth summit in Canberra. A total of 3 sessions were run during 2024 with more planned for 2025.

Thanks to funding from Meta, an advanced training program was also developed. The advanced course is designed to train experts in addressing online hate that impacts particular communities. More details on the training, and links to apply can be found on the Training page of our website.
