The Online Hate Prevention Institute is please to announce our endorsement of a new Australian Facebook page tackling racism.

Take Back Australia from the Racists (page ID: 841378979215205) was created on October 3rd to tackle the rapidly growing “Take back Australia” Facebook page. This followed the release of a briefing by OHPI on October 2nd exposing the rapidly growing “Take Back Australia” hate page. That growth has since continued with the hate page growing almost 20% by October 15th.

There is an urgent need to counter grow online racism in Australia, and this “take back Australia” page in particular. We congratulate “Take Back Australia from the Racists” for their efforts in countering this hate, and the Take Back Australia page in particular,  and we wish them the best of luck with this campaign.
