CBC Radio interviews our CEO Andre Oboler ahead of his key-note speech at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights to mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day. Oboler discusses the history of holocaust denial and the role it plays in antisemitism, as well as OHPI’s research into online antisemitism and Islamophobia in the wake of the October 7 attacks. Oboler also explains the sources of and motivations behind the recent increase in online antisemitism, and the different forms it has been taking in recent years. The interview touches on legitimate criticism of Israel, and the point at which that criticism becomes antisemitic.
