Our CEO Dr Andre Oboler was interviewed recently on the ABC Radio National program PM. Dr Oboler spoke to Samantha Donovan about the Special Envoy’s Plan to Combat Antisemitism. They discuss the report’s recommendation that Australia broadly adopts the IHRA’s working definition on antisemitism, and the false narrative that the definition categorises all criticism of Israel as antisemitic.

They also discuss the report’s recommendations that greater responsibility be placed on institutions like Universities to tackle antisemitism on campuses, and that mechanisms be put in place to restrict government funding for projects that are found to be antisemitic. Finally, Oboler explains the importance of education about antisemitism across Australia.
